Your first step when relocating should be to determine your timeline for the move/purchase of the home.

You may not have time to travel between your home and Northern Kentucky as often as you would like to see houses, but that doesn’t mean you can’t tour homes. Online listings usually include several photos or videos showing you every aspect of the house. It takes a bit more planning and preparation, but thorough research helps you pick your top properties and see all of them during a single visit, rather than having to come back several times to find the right house.

While you are narrowing down the areas you are interested in, it’s also important to get preapproved for a mortgage. We will then explore the cost of living differences between your current city and Northern Kentucky.

Once we find the right house for you and secure a purchase contract with earnest money, the next step is to schedule a home inspection. After the inspection, an appraisal will be done on the home to make sure it worth as much or more than the purchase price. From there, the procedures will be the same as if you were buying a house in your current city.

 If you are unable to attend the closing, we can arrange for title company can provide a faraway closing or also known as a mail away closing which means the title company will email or mail the closing documents and an overnight return shipping label to you. You will need to have some of the documents notarized and then overnight it back to the title company. On closing day, your lender wires the title company the money and we will have the keys for you when you arrive. Before your arrival, you will want to get your utilities set up and do your change of address with USPS.
